Dog days will continue this week

We are expecting a heat wave throughout this week, with temperatures above + 41 degrees Celsius, meteorologists say. According to the Hydro-Meteorological State Office, the heat wave is related to the hot air coming onto Moldova from Northern Africa, throughout the period July 16-22. The high air temperature will increase gradually from 30-35ºC to 36-41ºC. On Monday, July 16, the weather will be hot, with clear skies. The high temperature will reach +30, +35ºC, across the country and +31, +33ºC, in the capital. Starting tomorrow, the temperatures will increase considerably. According to specialists, the maximum temperature was reached in July 2002, with temperatures of + 35.2ºC (Soroca) and 40.0ºC (Tiraspol).
