A man fired several shots at a dog of a Pit Bull breed after this attacked his dog of a small dog breed, killing him, and then attacked his wife too. It happened in “Valea Morilor” Park in Chisinau.

Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, has told IPN that police officers travelled to the scene immediately after a call to the 112 Service was made. It was established that the man and his wife were walking through the park with two dogs of a small dog breed when they were attacked by a dog of a Pit Bull breed. The animal killed one of the two small dogs and then attacked the woman. The husband took the legally held gun out and shot dead the aggressive dog.

An investigation is under way. The police do not have details about the owner of the dog of the Pit Bull breed and are to determine why this left the animal outside unsupervised and without a muzzle.
