The chairman of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon will appeal the Law on Guaranteeing of Equality to the Constitutional Court, namely the article about the sexual minorities. He informed President Nicolae Timofti about this in a meeting on May 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The Socialists do not agree with the provision concerning the homosexuals contained in Article 7 of this law. The other articles are appropriate. We will appeal namely this provision to the Constitutional Court,” Igor Dodon said in a news conference. The Law on Guaranteeing of Equality was adopted by Parliament in two readings on May 25, while on May 28 it was promulgated by the head of state. Igor Dodon said that he and Nicolae Timofti also discussed the Law on the Opposition, specifying that the presidential team is to finalize the bill. He reminded Nicolae Timofti that he is not the President of the Alliance for European Integration, but of all the Moldovan people.
