It’s not excluded that some of the Socialist MPs will later leave the party on whose ticket they entered Parliament, political commentator Olga Nicolenco forecast in the program “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.
Nicolenco argued that there is no unity inside the Party of Socialists (PSRM). “Dodon brought many people into Parliament and will lose them if he does not make effort to keep them together. The Party of Communists, which was a rather united one, was abandoned by many members, including Igor Dodon. It’s clear that the PSRM does not enjoy the unity that existed in the PCRM earlier. It’s thus not excluded that some of the Socialist MPs will leave Dodon and will join other parliamentary groups,” she stated.
According to Nicolenco, there are all the preconditions for forming a pro-European alliance, even if the three pro-European parties will have to make compromises. “They are condemned to work together. They simply have no other way out. For a coalition to be formed, each of them will have to make compromises. It will be an alliance based on compromises. It’s clear that each of the three pro-European parties will have to renounce some of the electoral promises so as to be able to work as part of an alliance,” she stated.
Olga Nicolenco also said that there are not reasons for the pro-European parties to hurry to form an alliance with the PCRM. “The Party of Communists will continue to break up and it’s not excluded that some of the Communists lawmakers or some of the Socialist lawmakers will join the ruling parties until time comes to elect the head of state,” she anticipated.
