President of Moldova Igor Dodon will pay a visit to Moscow at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to take part in the opening of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, IPN reports.
In a posting on a social networking site, Igor Dodon said he discussed aspects of his visit to Moscow with Russia’s Ambassador in Moldova Farit Muhametshin in a meeting. While in Moscow, President Dodon will meet with the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia. On June 14, the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow will host the first match of the final tournament, between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
