The documentary film about the tragic fate of Archpriest Alexandru Baltaga, a Bessarabian priest who lost his freedom and life for the ‘guilt’ of signing the Union Act of March 27, 1918 will be released in Chisinau on Friday, IPN reports.

The film will be screened starting at 07:00 p.m. at “Odeon” Cinema in Chisinau. Admission is free of charge, within the available places. Registrations are made by email at filmdocumentar@trinitastv.ro.

The project “Martyr of the Union” is implemented by the Romanian Patriarchate’s television station Trinitas TV, with the support of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania, in partnership with the Metropolitan Church of Bessarabia, the Institute of History of the Moldova State University and TVR Moldova.
