The number of cases of vital infections in Chisinau has increased. At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Mihai Moldovanu, the head of the Health Division, said that 33 cases of flu were recorded last week, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldovanu said that the doctors reported 3,135 cases of infectious diseases, over half of which in children. “The number of such diseases is on the rise,” Moldovanu said. In another connection, the head of the Health Division said that 30 inhabitants of Tantareni village of Anenii Noi district had been hospitalized as a result of medical inspections. Out of these, 14 are adults, while 16 children. The residents of the village benefit from free medical treatment under agreements reached with the Chisinau authorities following efforts to block the access to the local garbage dump where the waste from Chisinau is transported.
