The salaries of health professionals will be increased in two stages. At the first stage, the pays will be raised by 30% on September 1 and by another 30% on January 1 next year. Their salaries will be then raised by 40% in the first half of next year. Such a decision was taken by representatives of the government coalition in a working meeting on June 29. This involved Prime Minister Ion Chicu and President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.
According to a press release, the representatives of the Democratic Party (PDM) and the Party of Socialists (PSRM) also decided to launch the “First House 6” program within which the employees of law enforcement agencies will get compensations equal to 100% of the bought dwelling’s value. This means the state will fully pay the interest rates on loans for police officers, service members, employees of the National Anticorruption Center, the Security and Intelligence Service or the State Guard and Protection Service. A sum of 20 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for the purpose.
The sides also discussed the loan of 100 million that is to be provided by the EU for alleviating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Moldova. The conditions for releasing the money were agreed by Moldova and the European Commission so that the funds are expected to reach the country by end-July.
The farmers will also get support from the state. The PDM and PSRM decided to increase the subsidization fund for them by 100 million lei.
Also, the Democratic and Socialist parliamentary groups, the Premier and the Head of State agreed that the Government in the immediate period will come with amendments to the budget to Parliament so that the allocations for infrastructure, the business sector and other areas could also be increased.
