Doctor who fell from sixth floor suffered from depression
The doctor who fell or may have jumped from the sixth floor of the Chisinau hospital “Saint Trinity” on January 26 suffered from depression. In the January 28 ordinary meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, Health Division head Luminita Suveica said that one day before the tragedy the man took part in the annual summing up meeting and didn’t seem distressed, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The man fell at about 13.15 and died 15 minutes later. The doctor’s colleagues said that he suffered from depression, but didn’t have problems at work. “He was one of the best specialists of the hospital,” said Luminita Suveica.
Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said that an internal enquiry should be conducted into this case.
The man was 64 and was the head of the hospital’s otorinolaringology section.
