Djoker-Tornado have successfully defended their title as Moldova's champions at beach football. The team coached by Ruslan Barburos wrapped up their second consecutive league title with one match in hand, IPN reports.
Djoker-Tornado bested the team of the Straseni Sports School 5-0 and has a 6 point gap over the Vadul lui Voda Sports School. “It was the easiest championship for us. None of the other teams actually challenged us”, Djoker-Tornado coach Ruslan Barburos told IPN.
Djoker, who have also won the Moldovan Cup and the Cup of the Moldovan Football Federation, will represent the country at the European Championship next year.
The season's last match will be played in Chisinau, on August 30, between Real-Succes and Gratiesti, who will compete for the bronze medals.
