The functionary is suspected of possessing property to the value of about 6 million le, which is much more than the incomes earned by his family in 2011-2015. A part of his property is registered in the name of other persons, IPN reports.

The functionary faces a fine of 6,000 to 8,000 conventional units or three to seven years in jail, in both of the cases with ban on holding particular posts and performing particular activities for 10 to 15 years, over unjust enrichment.

In another case examined by anticorruption officers and prosecutors, the public servant is suspected of abuse of power by influencing inferiors who formed part of a working group for holding public tender contests to take decisions in favor of particular business entities.
