Dividends from companies owned or co-owned by state at 148m lei

The dividends that the companies owned or co-owned by the state were to pay into the budget were assessed at 148 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Economy. The deadline for transferring the money was July 1. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, the largest dividends come from SA Moldtelecom, where the state owns a major holding. Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed the Ministry of Economy to closely monitor this process through the agency of the Public Property Agency. “The time when the state was deprived of its incomes on different pretexts has passed,” the Premier said. The public property register includes 267 state-run companies and 84 joint stock companies in which the state holds 10% to 100% of the shares. The state’s assets in the companies total 8.6 billion lei.
