District heads in favor of banning placement of new kiosks in Chisinau
The Chisinau district heads and the heads of municipal subdivisions back the idea of banning the placement of new stands in the capital city. Related statements were made at the last meeting of the municipal services and divisions. The Chisinau City Hall drafted a normative document that bans the setting up of new kiosks and specifies the mechanism for removing the stands placed illegally and those that do not meet the architectural norms, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vlad Modarca, the head of the General Architecture Division, said that the regulations concerning the placement of kiosks will be formulated in accordance with the demands of the district heads’ offices and the Chisinau residents. The local authorities want that only press kiosks work in Chisinau during the next years. He said that five years will be needed to remove all the stands installed in Chisinau.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked analyzing thoroughly the issue, stressing that not all the kiosks can be removed given that they provide employment for many persons.
More than 4,000 economic entities have stands in Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca said. According to him, Chisinau must shift to new standards and start building shopping centers.
Dorin Chirtoaca proposed the draft document that bans the placement of new kiosk in Chisinau for debates.
