The electoral councils of the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti and the district electoral councils were set up. The Central Election Commission agreed the numerical composition of the councils and confirmed their nominal composition, IPN reports.

Under the Commission’s decision, the head of the district electoral council will convene the first meeting that should take place not later than September 18. Later, the councils will make public the information about the place (bureau), date and hour of the receipt of documents for registering election contenders.

By September 21, the electoral councils will constitute the electoral districts of the first level, while by September 26 – the district electoral councils of the first level. The polling stations will be established by October 1, while the electoral bureaus of polling stations – by October 11.

The Commission also confirmed the numerical and nominal composition of the Chisinau municipal electoral council No. 1. This will have 11 members and will be headed by Viorica Gadîmba, who is a jurist by profession.
