In December, 33,484 new applications were registered in the "Meter Assistance" information system, and 6,000 files were modified in the system, according to applicants’ individual situations, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
The institution said that the minimum compensation threshold for December was raised from 300 to 500 lei. For the most vulnerable natural gas consumers, the maximum threshold was increased to 1,000 lei.
The average compensation grew from 524 lei in November to 715 lei in December.
For December, the distribution of compensations by the number of households will be as follows:
- 500-600 lei – 243,347 households;
- 600-700 lei – 8610 households;
- 700-800 lei – 278,450 households;
- 800-900 lei – 19,410 households;
- 900-1000 lei – 93,519 households.
The compensations will be provided after January 10.
