Distance learning program on ICT available for public servants

The civil servants who want to gain knowledge of information and communication technology (ICT) and electronic governance can do it by accessing the Electronic Lessons division on the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology's website www.mtic.gov.md. The electronic courses consist of eight core and advanced modules. The learners can choose by themselves the modules/levels in accordance with their needs. The public servants will receive a certificate showing that they know the ICT if they score a certain number of credits through the Internet. The National Computer Operator Certificate is issued only after the applicants pass a test at a certification center. The electronic lessons were worked out by UNDP specialists as part of the Building E-Governance in Moldova-2 Project, which is supported by the United Nations Development Program. They meet the methodological norms for training and certifying public servants in ICT and electronic governance and were coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and the Public Administration Academy under the President of Moldova.
