The playgrounds, yards of apartment buildings and waste storage platforms in Chisinau continue to be disinfected. The public transport stations and garbage bins are also sanitized.

Contacted by IPN, Public Amenities Division head Ion Burdiumov said the first floors and stairs of apartment buildings are also disinfected. The people are urged to refrain from going out, if only in emergencies, and to disinfect the entrance doors and elevator doors.

The functionary said the Division offered and continues to offer disinfectants to the managers of the municipal housing stock and also to those of the private stock. The latter are to organize the disinfection works themselves.

The highest number of employees of municipal housing stock managing companies was mobilized in the period. Workers of other municipal subdivisions, such as the Green Areas Association and the Road Maintenance Company “Exdrupo“, were also involved in the disinfection works.

Ion Burdiumov reiterated his call to the parents and guardians to obey the measures required to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 infection, to supervise the children who are on forced vacation and not to allow them to gather together in large numbers on stadiums and playgrounds.
