The works to disinfect and kill rats in the blocks of the municipal housing sector are halfway towards the finish. In Botanica district, these were completed, IPN reports.

In the May 20 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Public Amenities Division head Ion Burdiumov said the works were started a month ago and covered almost 1,000 apartment buildings so far. The responsible teams execute the works according to the timetable agreed with building managers.

When the works are finished, they are rerun. The teams also respond to requests made by dwellers.

About 1.8 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for performing disinfection and rat annihilation works in the housing sector of Chisinau this year.
