Mandatory health insurance policy in fixed amount at discounts of 50% and 75% can be bought by March 31. Thus, the founders of private companies, patent holders and lessees can pay half of the price of the health policy during the next ten days, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the National Health Insurance Company, these categories of people can pay only 2 028 lei instead of 4 056 lei for the policy. The farmland owners can pay only 1 014 lei, which is 25% of the insurance premium. Payments can be made at post offices and the local agencies of the National Health Insurance Company.

Starting with this year, the discounts on health policy are available until March 31, no matter whether the law on mandatory health insurance funds for a particular year is adopted or not. From April 1, the insurance premium is paid in full amount.

The Company noted that the fine for the non-payment of the insurance premium by the time limit is 500 to 1,100 lei. A penalty is also imposed for each overdue day.
