The Eastern Partnership Summit of Vilnius will be a success for Moldova, considers the Head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau DirkSchuebel. In a news conference on March 18, the ambassador said that the EU is interested in seeing political stability in Moldova, IPN reports.
”We surely need a partner that will be stable both from economic and political viewpoints. I hope that a powerful majority will be identified in Parliament soon and the new Government will be able to start work,” stated DirkSchuebel.
The ambassador also said that the signing of the agreements with the EU may be postponed owing to technical procedures. The agreements contain about 1,000 pages and appendixes that are to be translated into the 23 official languages of the EU.
In the same news conference, acting Prime Minister VladFilat said that Moldova has all the chances of having success at the Eastern Partnership Summit of Vilnius, which will be of Moldova, not of a political party. “In order to achieve this objective, we must work responsibly, with trust and optimistic approach,” he stated.
The Eastern Partnership Summit will take place in November.
