The road maintenance contract signed with the private company “Drumuri-Briceni” may be terminated. The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure made such an announcement after Minister Anatol Salaru made an inspection visit to the northern and central districts of the country. As a result of the inspection, the directors of road maintenance companies from Drochia, Hancesti, Sangerei and Ungheni were penalized administratively, in accordance with the Labor Code, Info-Prim Neo reports. The minister expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the local roads in the mentioned districts were cleaned. Many access roads there were blocked. The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure informed that all the national and local roads managed by it were passable on December 14. As more snow was forecast for the coming days, the Ministry calls on the motorists to strictly obey the traffic rules on the national roads.
