The ex-president of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia Ana Harlamenko was dismissed from the post of director of the regional public broadcaster “Teleradio Gagauzia” by a majority of votes of  the members of the company’s Supervisory Board, IPN reports.

According to the information portal Gagauzinfo, the Audit Office of Gagauzia earlier identified a number of violations committed by the company’s administration, including the fact that the obtained grants weren’t indicated as income and the over 1 million lei earned from publicity wasn’t accounted for and Ana Harlamenko’ unwillingness to hold consultations before taking decisions.

The post of director of “Teleradio Gagauzia” will be held on an interim basis by Stepan Poiron, who is the director of the region’s public TV channel.
