Director of SA “Franzeluta” reinstated in post by ECHR

Victor Cojocaru was appointed director of the bakery complex SA “Franzeluta”. Before the appointment, he had served as acting director for two months. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, former chairman of the complex’s Administration Board, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Stefan Chitoroaga said the decision was taken in a meeting of the company’s shareholders. He also said that the Council was reelected and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Viorel Gutu was voted in as chairman. Victor Cojocaru became acting director of the complex at the start of July following the dismissal of director Eugen Baleca. In a program on Publika TV, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the present director of “Franzeluta” was reinstated in post by a decision of the European Court of Human Rights. In the middle of the last decade, Victor Cojocaru, who was then director of “Franzeluta”, stood trial and was imprisoned for the period of the investigation. The legal case against Cojocaru was opened in the same period when the Communist government started cases against Serafim Urecheanu, Vladimir Sarban, Constantin Becciev, Vladimir Modarca and others, who were later found innocent by Moldovan courts or the ECHR.
