Diplomats and dignitaries from Chisinau trained in Romania

A new batch of specialists graduated in Bucharest the “Training program for Moldovan diplomats and dignitaries”. The program, which is at its third edition, was organized at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute and was funded from the budget for development assistance, administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau. The Romanian Embassy remarks that the training of specialists from the Government and Ministries from Chisinau is one of the concrete ways through which Romania supports institutional strengthening and the transfer of expertise towards Moldova. On this occasion, State Secretary at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ovidiu Dranga congratulated Moldova for the results obtained in 2012 in its relationship with the European Union, results to which the trainees contributed decisively from their positions in the Moldovan central administration. The State Secretary encouraged the Moldovan authorities to sustain the high pace of reforms in 2013 in order to fully accomplish the goals of this stage in Moldova’s dialogue with the EU. Ovidiu Dranga reiterated Romania’s diplomatic and technical support for the Chisinau authorities in their efforts towards European integration. “On the Romanian side, there is total willingness to cooperate as I’m sure you are convinced after the joint projects so far in various fields: from statistics to justice, from the interior to agriculture”, said Ovidiu Dranga. The program gathered 16 trainees: Moldova diplomats and functionaries from the State Chancellery, from most of the Ministries, from the Agency of Tourism, the Bureau for Interethnic Relations and the National Bureau of Statistics. The training took place between December 5 and 20.
