Diplomats accredited in Moldova invited to attend Independence celebrations
The diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova have been invited to attend the August 27 celebrations to mark the 21st anniversary of Moldova’s Independence. Other foreign officials haven’t been invited yet.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration informed Info-Prim Neo that the diplomatic bodies accredited in Moldova, including the resident and non-resident heads of diplomatic missions, were invited to attend the official events on the occasion of the national holiday according to national and international custom.
Anatol Onceanu, Deputy Secretary of the Government, told Info-Prim Neo that so far foreign officials hadn’t been invited to Chisinau on this occasion.
The schedule for August 27 isn’t too different from that of previous years. Flowers will be laid at the monument of Stephen the Great, officials will deliver speeches in the Great National Assembly Square and a concert will be given in the evening. The exact program will be announced closer to August 27.
This year on August 27 Moldova celebrates 21 years of Independence.
