A Diplomatic Council will be created in Moldova to debate topical issues and facilitate the exchange of experience between diplomats, announced Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Mihai Popșoi said that, since the beginning of his mandate, it has been a priority for him to make Moldovan diplomacy more professional and expand its geographical presence. “Instead of reacting to events, we should anticipate them where possible, employing analytical capacity that we need to develop and strengthen within our MFA. It is in this context that I’m planning to create a Diplomatic Council shortly”, Mihai Popșoi said.

The organization will be made up of former ambassadors, ex-foreign ministers and opinion leaders.
