Champion Dinamo-MAI Chisinau has won the Men’s Volleyball Super Cup of Moldova after beating the holder of the Cup Astra Chisinau 3-2, IPN reports.

Dinamo-MAI led after the first two sets, but then lost the next two sets. The winner was decided in the final set. The team trained by Valentin Pereu managed to win by 15-13.

The event that marked the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the National Volleyball Federation was attended by the president of the European Volleyball Confederation Aleksandar Boricic.

“We visit all the European states to speak about our projects referring to school programs. We want to create new generations of athletes. Moldova is one of the first states we visit. We will become involved, alongside the National Olympic and Sports Committee and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, to stage international seminars for teachers and coaches. We want to also help the Moldovan Volleyball Federation with sports equipment,” Aleksandar Boricic told a news conference.
