Moldova’s only representative at the European Athletics Indoor Championships held in Glasgow during March 1-3, Dimitriana Surdu, ranked fourth with the result of 17.65 meters in weight throw, IPN reports.

Radoslava Mavrodieva of Bulgaria became European champion with a score of 19.12 meters. She was followed by Christina Schwanitz of Germany and Anita Marton of Hungary.

During March 9-10, Dimitriana Surdu will compete in the European Throwing Cup in Slovakia. The competition will also involve Moldovan athletes Zalina Petrivskaya, Sergey Marghiev, Andrian Mardare and Dan Morari.
