Digital instruments in construction sector to be developed in Moldova

Two digital instruments in the construction sector and urbanism, accessible to the public through the Internet, will be developed in the Republic of Moldova. Two agreements of cooperation between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and USAID Moldova were signed recently for the purpose, IPN reports.

According to USAID Moldova, the first platform will increase the accessibility of normative documents in the field of urbanism and constructions, offering free and unlimited access to normative documents and other useful information for developing the construction sector. The platform will be intended for construction sector specialists, design architects and project verification specialists and also for any citizen or property owner.

The State Register of Urban Planning Documents will increase transparency in the issuing of permissive documents in the construction sector through a territorial records system based on territorial development and urban planning documents designed and approved nationwide and locally. The Register will contain data about roads, approved freight transport corridors for extra-large and extra-heavy units of transport, technical-urban networks, archeological sites, green areas and water sources.
