The module “Digital education for pupils of the first grade” will be launched on September 7. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the September 5 meeting of the Cabinet, IPN reports.

“Such education is very important as we live in an information era. Even if not all the students will become IT engineers, everyone needs skills to use computers and electronic equipment. One cannot be an active member of society without such skills nowadays,” stated the Premier.

In the module launch event, the digital education teachers will be handed over 1,850 tablet PCs. The subject is compulsory for the first grade and is optional up to the sixth grade.
