Differing opinions about invitations to discussions between ACUM and PSRM

There are contradictory opinions about the mutual invitations to discussions between the political bloc ACUM and the Party of Socialists. Some civic activists consider the invitation made by ACUM to all the MPs is not a correct approach. Others think this invitation to discussions should have been issued directly to the Socialist parliamentary group. The issue was discussed in the talk show “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

Civic activist Nicolae Josanu said he supports the way in which the bloc ACUM acts. The bloc invited all the MPs to discussions on a parliamentary platform, in the presence of the press, not at their head office as the PSRM suggested. “The meetings with tea in the absence of the press will no longer work. We will expose all the pseudo-Socialists, pseudo-Communists. The politics will be now different, in front of the people,” stated Nicolae Josan.

“Voievod” Association chairman Nicolae Pascaru stated the politicians should take one step forward and prove that they can have a dialogue. Negotiations between parties should have started immediately after the elections. “The bloc ACUM is not a party with adroit diplomacy. During the first week it did nothing and didn’t want to come out. It said it is in the opposition. During the second week they made a mistake when they came to the meeting with the President and didn’t have political culture to shake hands with the President,” stated Nicolae Pascaru. According to him, the invitation made by ACUM to MPs is not a correct approach. This should have addressed the parliamentary groups.

Civic activist Andrei Donică said the post-electoral situation is very difficult, but snap elections will most probably not take place. If the bloc ACUM sits at the negotiating table with the Socialists, it will be discredited. “I don’t think that today Maia Sandu, Andrei Năstase and Igor Dodon cannot form an alliance and remove Vladimir Plahotniuc from power,” stated Andrei Donică.

“Unirea ODIP” Association chairman Vlad Biletski said the political situation in Moldova is now very difficult both as regards the visible actions and the invisible actions. The formation of an alliance in a democratic and natural format is impossible, only if particular courageous steps are taken to remove the current regime. “Those of the bloc ACUM remain firm on their position, but there is a risk that three are people in the bloc who can be blackmailed and bought by the PDM. I think a large part of the Socialists are vulnerable as criminal cases against them will be launched when these take steps that do not meet the views of Vladimir Plahotniuc and the PDM,” stated Vlad Biletski.
