After exercising her right to vote, the Party of Communists’ candidate for mayor of Chisinau Diana Caraman called on the citizens to be active and go and vote for the city’s future, IPN reports.

“Dear citizens, I fulfilled my duty and now I call on you all to go and vote for the future of your city so that we feel decent residents and empower earnest people to manage the city. Vote, be active and state you opinion,” stated Diana Caraman.

Twenty-seven persons are contending in the mayoral election in the municipality of Chisinau after the Commission for Exceptional Situations annulled the registration of the 28th candidate who represented the Chance Party.

Polls close at 9 p.m.
