Detainees to have sponge cakes and red eggs on Easter
On the occasion of the Easter Holidays, a series of events are going to take place in the Moldovan jails, aimed to bring holiday feelings in the souls of the people deprived of liberty, Info-Prim Neo reports quoting the Penitentiary Institutions Department (PID).
Their daily food is going to be improved, as they will be allowed to be visited. On April 27, religious services will be held in every penitentiary. The detainees will also attend and take part in what the DIP terms as “cultural-artistic activities” organized by non-governmental and religious organizations.
Also, the detainees held in “open” or “re-socializing” penitentiaries will be allowed to spend their holidays in families or with their friends, provided they displayed adequate behavior.
At the same time, the DIP employees will switch to intensive vigilance during the holidays in order to enhance security and prevent illicit actions in jails.
