The National Authority for Citizenship (NAC) of Romania in November and December will stage ceremonies to take an oath of allegiance to Romania. In this connection, Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau provided details concerning the procedure, IPN reports.
An oath can be taken at the NAC by persons who applied to regain the Romanian nationality by keeping the domicile abroad, but later asked to have the domicile in Romania, and by persons who want to keep the domicile abroad, but applied to take the oath in Bucharest.
These persons can take the oath at the NAC head office in Bucharest with the consent of the head of mission or of the consular office in the Republic of Moldova. The consent to take the oath at the NAT is issued by the Consular Section or the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau exclusively after scheduling an appointment through www.econsulat.ro, based on an online application transmitted for pre-validation with the oath taking at the NAC option.
For the application to be processed by the Consular Section, the same documents should be submitted as those needed for scheduling an appointment for taking an oath of allegiance to Romania at Romania’s Embassy. Priority in scheduling the appointment will be given to persons who want to have the domicile in Romania.
After the head of mission gives his/her consent, the programmed persons should present a set of documents to the NAC head office, including the agreement to take the oath at the NAC, identification papers, two photo photos 35X45 mm, etc.
The ceremonies will be organized at the National Authority for Citizenship in Bucharest in November-December this way: November 18, November 20, November 25, November 27, December 2, December 14, December 15, and December 21, 2020.
