The state of alert was extended in Romania as from October 15. The Moldova citizens cannot enter Romania during the state of alert, with particular exceptions, IPN reports.
Romania’s Embassy in Moldova said the entry into Romania to foreigners and stateless persons is banned, except for the family members of Romanian citizens and of citizens of other EU member states or of states of the European Economic Community or of the Swiss Confederation, with residence in Romania, persons with a long-stay visa, a permit of stay and those who travel for professional purposes.
The persons who can enter Romania do not have to quarantine if they form part of several categories, namely persons who come to Romania from areas or countries with a high epidemiological risk, but who spent the last 14 consecutive days before coming to Romania in one or several areas or countries where this measure was not introduced; drivers of freight vehicles with a maximum authorized capacity of 2.4 tonnes, drivers of passenger transporting vehicles, etc.
The persons who arrive to Romania from areas or countries with a high epidemiological risk, but remain on the national territory for less than three days (72 hours) and have a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 done at most 48 hours before entering the national territory also must not quarantine. Those who come to Romania from countries with a high epidemiological risk and quarantine for 14 days can leave the quarantine on the tenth day if they do a test for SARS-CoV-2 on the eighth day of quarantine and this is negative and they do not have typical symptoms.
The SARS-CoV-2 tests can be done at authorized laboratories and the results must contain the applicant’s identification data.
