Details about quality of medical equipment donated by Romania

The equipment donated to Moldova meets all the performance requirements according to the current standards. All the donated equipment meets the labeling and packing marking conditions. The donated masks match the European standards, Romania’s Embassy in Moldova has said, quoting the Romanian Ministry of Health, following denigrating articles and postings about the improper quality of the medical equipment donated by Romania on May 7 to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Health of Romania noted that the donated equipment has CE marking plus a testing report, the producer’s declaration of conformity, the producer’s certificate, functioning notice plus the annexes issued by the National Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices for the distributor. No faults were found when receiving the equipment before the donation.

“The Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova regrets that the humanitarian aid offered at the opportune moment, with generosity, disinterestedly and unconditionally by the Romanian people to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to fight the COVID-19 pandemic became a subject of political disputes,” runs a press release.

The medical equipment donated by Romania to Moldova on May 7 this year is worth about €3.5 million.
