The citizens who enter Moldova are to present the negative result of the PCR COVID-19 test or will have to fill out the epidemiological form and to sign an own responsibility statement whereby they will undertake to self-isolate for 14 days in definite places, acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi stated in a press briefing after the meeting of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, IPN reports.
According to the official, the PCR COVID-19 test must be done 72 hours before embarking. In the absence of the test, the persons can interrupt the self-isolation regime only after the tenth day, if they do a PCR COVID-19 test and its result is negative.
There are several categories of persons who are exempted from quarantine if they do not have clinical signs of respiratory infections or a high fever. These are children aged five and younger than five, pupils and students who are to take exams or those who go to study at education institutions on Moldova’s territory or abroad.
Aureliu Ciocoi also said that the inspection bodies will step up checks so as to supervise the anti-epidemic measures.
Moldova so far has got over 210,000 infections with the novel coronavirus. The death toll from COVID-19 stands at 4,472.
