Details about economic activities that remain restricted

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection provided details about the activities that remain restricted and cannot be resumed on July 1, in accordance with the decision taken by the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health, IPN reports.

In a press briefing, the Ministry’s secretary of state Konstantin Rymish said that all the economic activities are resumed, but the presence of persons in groups larger than three, of persons older than 63 outside home and in public places without an urgent necessity and of children and adults at playgrounds, sports grounds and places of recreation is banned.

The rehabilitation and consultative-diagnostic centers with programmed treatment will not yet work.

The education process and children’s summer camps remain suspended. There will be held no sports and cultural competitions.

The work of nightclubs and dancing places and the holding of ceremonies, such as christening, wedding, birthday and commemoration parties at any institution, either public or private, continue to be banned.

According to the official, the other economic activities can be restarted on July 1 by mandatorily maintaining social distancing of minimum 1 meter, obeying the hand hygiene rules and self-isolation regime, disinfecting surfaces, ventilating rooms, etc. The wearing of masks in public transport, closed public places and open public areas, if it is not possible to maintain social distancing, is compulsory. The mask should cover both the mouth and the nose.

In the a press briefing, Sergiu Golovaci, secretary of state at the Ministry of Home Affairs, said  the flow of passengers at the Chisinau International Airport last week increased. Before planning a trip, the passengers should consult official information about the conditions of travelling to the country of destination. Not all the people understand the restrictive measures. The elderly people and the young continue to be present often in public places. The disposable mask becomes non-functional in two hours and a person should have by two-three masks in reserve. The local public authorities should fence the playgrounds and sports grounds as the people consider that these can be visited if they are not isolated. A number of 175 employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs have contracted the novel coronavirus and the media and the politicians should not make a sensation of this fact.

Vladimir Cotici, director general of the National Food Safety Agency, noted that the Agency during June 17-22 carried out 525 inspections and identified 149 irregularities. Special attention in inspections is devoted to agrifood markets and grocery stores. As seasonal field works are under way, the Agency calls on economic operators to obey all the conditions for preventing infection with the novel coronavirus imposed by the authorities in the field.

Igor Guja, director of the National Motor Transport Agency, stated that the Agency, in concert with representatives of the National Public Security Inspectorate, during June 23-24 inspected about 600 units of transport running on regular, occasional and taxi routes. Following the identified irregularities, the passengers, drivers, employees of bus and minibus stations and representatives of the routes were warned about the necessity of strictly obeying the rules of preventing infection with COVID–19 and about the penalties faced for such violations. The Agency calls on those involved in road passenger transportation to obey all the imposed measures.
