A total of €55.1 million and US$86.5 million offered by the Internatonal Monetray Fund entered the state budget in May. The €20 million provided by the Government of Poland reached the budget in July, IPN reports.
Details about the financial assistance offered by the development partners to help the Republic of Moldova reduce the budget deficit and ensure the implementation of the state budget-funded programs were given by the Ministry of Finance.
More money is expected to come over the next few months, namely €151 million from the World Bank, of which €9.2 million represents grant funding, €125 from the European Union, of which €90 million in grant funding, €15 million from the French Development Agency and €10 million worth of grants from the Government of Romania.
“The financial resources in the form of budget support go to ensure the financing of the Government’s priorities, such as the alleviation of the effects of the energy crisis and inflation on the population and the business community, and the continuation of the state budget-funded capital investment projects,” said the Ministry of Finance.
