Prosecutors said 20 persons are involved in the investigation operation performed on September 20. As a result of the searches carried out at a number of courts of law and homes of judges, 18 persons were arrested. These are 15 judges and three bailiffs, IPN reports.

The head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office Viorel Morari in a press briefing said the investigation activities will be continued tomorrow and thus he cannot provide more information about these.

Viorel Morari also said that the acting prosecutor general in the morning of September 20 submitted an application to the Superior Council of Magistracy and this issued an authorization for the investigations that involve the judges.
