Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, is expected to pay a visit to the Russian Federation, his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov was quoted by IPN as saying.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that they are ready for communication, which should be well planned. The discussions with Nicu Popescu, which is likely to visit Russia next month, will center on all the aspects of the bilateral relations.
Sergey Lavrov also said that the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu in her public speeches not only once mentioned the wish to have mutually advantageous relations with the Russian Federation. But some of the representatives of the West reproached her for this and this shows, according to Lavrov, that Brussels and the U.S. interfere in Moldova’s internal affairs.
