Deputy Premier Popșoi to attend Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi will be paying an official visit to Bucharest during May 23-24. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with his Romanian counterpart Luminița Odobescu, will attend the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Mihai Popșoi and Luminița Odobescu will hold talks on Friday. After the meeting, starting at 03:45 p.m., the two officials will make statements. The press event will be broadcast live on Minister Mihai Popșoi’s Facebook page and on the MFA’s page.

“The Moldovan official, together with his Romanian counterpart Luminița Odobescu, will take part in the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum. During the panel discussion “The strategic importance of the Black Sea. Why do we need a free and open Black Sea?”, Minister Popșoi will refer to the strategic and economic importance of the Black Sea region,” reads a press release.

Also in Bucharest, on May 23, the Moldovan official will give an interview to Euronews Romania, starting at 10:00 p.m.
