Deputy Premier Mihai Popșoi to make official visit to Washington

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi during April 18-20 will be paying an official visit to Washington DC where he will take part in the meeting of the Moldova – U.S. Strategic Dialogue. The official will also participate in the Moldovan-American Convention, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Mihai Popșoi will have a series of meetings with U.S. officials, including U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma, Special Assistant in the Biden administration Michael Carpenter, co-chairs of the U.S. Congress’ Friendship Group for Moldova Michael Lawler and Deborah K Ross.

The Moldovan official will also give a public lecture at Georgetown University, where he will focus on the reform agenda of Moldova’s Government, the consequences of the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine for the region and the progress made by Moldova on its path of integration into the European Union.
