A deputy mayor of Balti municipality vacated his seat. On a social networking site, Igor Sheremet posted a statement whereby he informs about his resignation from the Balti mayor’s office, IPN reports.

Igor Sheremet explained he resigned because of the Mayor of Balti Renato Usatyi’s doubts and distrust in his capacity to manage affairs in the municipality.

In October 2015, Igor Sheremet was named deputy mayor of Balti in charge of municipal property, land relations, architecture, building and public amenities on behalf of the Political Party “Our Party” that is led by Renato Usatyi.
