Depositors of "Intercapital" will be repaid part of their money

The depositors of the transnational Company "Intercapital" will be able to recover their money after long periods of waiting and trial processes, a part of the money in this structure that went bankrupt, while the victims of the Commercial Bank "Guinea" have found about from the authorities that there are few chances to get back their money. This problem was under discussion on Wednesday, the July 12, in the framework of the Special Comission for the control and miniaturization of the process of reimbursement the mentioned deposits. At the session took part representatives of the National Bank of Moldova, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Execution Department, as well as of the depositors of BC 'Guinea' and the transnational Company "Intercapital". According to a press release of the Mass media and Image Service of the Parliament, the "Intercapiral" depositors will recover about 20 % of their banked amounts, from the financial means obtained as a result of the auction from the 18th of May 2006, during which a building located in Vatra village was sold. The building was previously transmitted for commercialization in the account of paying the depositors' debts and was sold at a price of MDL 5.399 mln. The distribution of financial means will be made in a proportional way for each depositor, as soon as the number of executing titles and the beneficiary persons will be determined. At the same time, the members of the commission have specified the fact that only the depositors that have addressed to a judicial court will be reimbursed the financial means. At the same time, in the case of BC "Guinea" depositors, the members of the commission have heard the information of the General Prosecutor's Office and of the representatives of the National Bank, including those of the office administrator of the mentioned bank. According to these, the reimbursement of the financial means of the depositors of BC "Guinea" is impossible due to the outdated terms of the problem under discussion, the absence of property in the case of investigated persons, the disappearance of guilty individuals and the incapacity of payment in the case of other guilty individuals, etc. According to the cited report, "the representatives of BC "Guinea" were informed about the indispensability of use by the state authorities of legal means in solving the given case and the need of finishing the judiciary process with pronouncing the determinate decision". At the same time, the special parliamentary commission has draw the attention to the initiative group of BC "Guinea" depositors about the difficulty of situation in this case announcing them that, after the pronouncement of a decree favorable for the depositors, only about 1 mil lei will be possible to capitalize on the account of the sequestrated property and of the selling of a surface of 311 m2 in a building in Chisinau. According to the vice-speaker Maria Postoico who presided the session, "presently, other financial means that could be reimbursed to the depositors of BC "Guinea" do not exist and taking into account the period passed from the moment the damage was caused, an optimistic solution in a restricted term is little probable". The damage caused to the about 1500 depositors of the transnational Company "Intercapital" is estimated at MDL 20-24 mln.
