A number of planes cannot take off from the Chisinau International Airport owing to the dense fog. Two flights were cancelled, IPN reports.

According to the online timetable, the 2pm flight to Frankfurt and the 4pm flight to Vienna were cancelled.

The flights to Paris (12:30pm) and Verona (3:30pm) and two flights to Moscow (1:40pm; 4:00pm) were delayed. The evening flights to Moscow and Istanbul of 9:10pm will also be late.

Contacted by IPN, press secretary of Avia Invest company, which manages the Chisinau International Airport, said fog appeared in the afternoon and became denser after 5pm. The passengers are urged to see the schedule of flights before going to the airport.
