The lawmakers of the Democratic Party (PDM), except two who are abroad, put their signatures in support of the candidacy for the presidency of Marian Lupu, Info-Prim No reports. “The two MPs will sign by the end of the day and the document will be passed on. The procedure will be an ordinary one,” Marian Lupu told the journalists after the December 7 meeting of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau. The PDM has 15 representatives in Parliament. Marian Lupu must submit all the necessary documents to the special commission for the election of the head of state, including the confirmation that he is supported by at least 15 MPs. The deadline for applications is December 13, 7pm. The legislative body will try to elect the head of state again on December 16. The November 18 elections were invalidated as there was registered no candidate for the presidency.
