The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) suggests holding a meeting on the parliamentary platform in the PDM, PSRM, PAS and PPPDA format so as to discuss and find solutions to the most pressing problems faced by the people, IPN reports.
In a press briefing on August 10, the president of the PDM Pavel Filip said the agenda of discussions proposed by the Democrats includes such issues as the serious situation in agriculture due to drought, the ensuring of free and fair elections and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This common dialog would be a signal of normality that would show to the people that even if there are things that separate us, we can have a dialogue and propose solutions for improving the living conditions. I think it’s good to discuss the problems and not to wait until a new session of Parliament starts,” stated Pavel Filip.
The politician noted the PDM will no way take part in a dialogue with the groups of Candu and Shor. Any other format that includes these entities will not be accepted by the Democrats. “Politics should not be about quarrels and interminable mutual accusations. Politics should be about those who brought you to Parliament and abut their expectations. The best way in which Parliament can regain people’s trust is for the people to see that the responsible forces in Parliament discuss their problems,” stated the president of the PDM.
