Democrats have several variants to participate in snap elections
The Democratic Party (PDM) says it will got for the early elections, but has not decided the format, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Its president Dumitru Diacov told a news conference on Monday that the PDM did not rule out to participate on joint lists with other parties from the center-left, or from the parliamentary opposition. But it certainly won't join the extreme left, the Communists Party (PCRM).
The center-left parties can give the opposition the votes of the left-wing voters, Dumitru Diacov said.
“If the parliamentary opposition keeps calling on the parties out of the parliament to stay away from the snap elections, then the best solution is make a joint list, to meet the people's wishes,” the PDM leader says.
Diacov opines all the parties outside the parliament can attend the discussions, except for several ones. “In any case there are some 2-3 parties that can bring their contribution,” the Democrats' leader specifies.
Diacov says he sees these proposals as solutions so that all the parties bring their contribution to secure the necessary votes.
“We'll go with our own list only when we're certain the Democratic Party will be present in the Parliament and will be able to influence Moldova's political life,” Diacov said.
The PDM has had negotiations with the PLDM, AMN and PSD, without reaching any agreement, Diacov has said.
