The Democratic Party (PDM) will have a candidate in the November 1 presidential elections. For the purpose, the party initiated consultations with the heads of the party’s local organizations, Democratic ministers and MPs, members of the party’s Executive Bureau so as to choose a candidate. Each head of local district organization of the PDM will bring together the local teams to discuss and field potential candidates for President on behalf of the party, IPN reports.
“Each party member should pronounce as the opinion of each member counts. In the meeting of the National Political Council at the end of August, we will decide together the PDM’s candidate,” the party posted on Facebook.
The president of the PDM Pavel Filip said there is proper internal democracy in the party at present and the important decisions are taken in a transparent way and by common consent and the given format of discussions is the most suitable for the purpose.
